'Perasaan'

Tere Liye

Perasaan kehilangan...perasaan memiliki...perasaan mencintai...
Kami tak melihat, Kau berikan mata; kami tak mendengar, Kau berikan telinga; Kami tak bergerak, Kau berikan kaki. Kau berikan berpuluh-puluh nikmat lainnya.

Does the term 'true friends' still exist?

Well, I am writing this is just because I want to, not being so mean or making anyone offended but do you guys think that true friends still exist?

As far as I am concerned, people could come and go from your life whenever they want. One quick question that has been running through my head. Will there be people particularly friends who will stay from the beginning you meet them until the end you close your eyes? Do you believe that true friends still exist? Would you mind telling me your reason why you think so?

Does 'true friends' only exist like 1000000000 years ago?

You don't know anything, do you?
Yes you know nothing. People you can consider your true friends might talk about you behind your back, might only come to you when they need a hand and some particular purposes. Who should we trust then? Because people whom we trust the most might break the trustworthiness we give them which they should keep.

I have a couple of my amazing friends who are there when I am both happy as a sandboy and down in the dumps. But the thing is, will they remain so or go away and change and go out of my life like forever instead? Or probably after finding a new friend or a group of new friends, they will leave me behind.

I still have no idea about the definition of true friends. Do they only exist in movies/films or in real life as well?

Because things that we get through in life might not likely be smooth as we want them to be.

I'm not strong but I always try to be

I’m not strong but I always try to be.

This incident leads me to be more mature.

Some people may not notice that everything happens in their lives obviously for a reason. What is that reason? Just to make us grow stronger and more mature. So when it comes to problems in life, there is always a reason why God gives us a trial. Why does He give us a trial for? We will eventually find it out by ourselves.

I’d like to tell you about something that happened to me a few weeks ago, which was actually the worst time of my life (If I can call it so!). Nevertheless, I can gain a lot of lessons from this incident. It started after mid-term tests which I did pretty well. I am that kind of a person who wants everything to be amazing or even perfect. Not being so arrogant or boastful, what mark I mostly got at college is “A”, because I’m so keen on studying. After having mid-term tests, my classmates decided to spend our 1 day off (Not holidays!) on visiting a tea plantation. I fully forget where it’s located. However, it was pretty incredible enjoying a beautiful view covered in green due to countless trees planted over there. At the very first time, before something made my mind up to come and join with my friend. I strongly said “Nah, I can’t come and join with you guys” for some reasons to my friends who kept on persuading me to join. It was planned to set off at 8 am whilst that day/time I hadn’t even yet taken a bath or been well-prepared or anything. I was still so sluggish being in bed and listening to music, because earlier I made a decision where I preferred to not have come and joined with them. All of a sudden, my phone was beeping slowly but I heard it. One of my friends rang me up saying whatever it is I should be able to go with them. I was in two minds, but then something changed my mind and I said “okay, I’ll go”. We were enjoying ourselves there, in a tea plantation. We happily took loads of pictures and selfies. It was at 03.00 pm (if I’m not mistaken) and we, my classmates and I decided to return to our boarding houses. On the road home, something unexpected happened. What is that? I had an unexpected accident. This guy who gave me a lift hit a bus. There was a bus right in front of us which we didn’t even notice because we were casting a glance at our friends behind us. My friend was just alright, but I had a serious concussion and I lost my front teeth as well. I hit the back side of the bus and then I fell off and my head hit the road (asphalt). I had been in the hospital for about 5 days. It was so horrible, seriously. Up to now, I still can’t even cope with the fact that I lost my original teeth and have to go to the dentist every week for two months. Assignments and many other things which I usually do at college, I missed them. I had to take rest for at least three weeks to be perfectly healthy. My parents who is living and working in Jakarta (the capital city of Indonesia) had to see me in Surakarta, in the hospital with teary-eyed. They both burst into tears seeing me in pain due to too many cables around my body. When they came and sat behind me, I couldn’t even open my eyes or say “I am alright, wipe them tears”. All I could do was just shedding tears as well. I was trying to be strong and not to cry but I always ended up crying out loud. I felt so guilty putting burden on my parents’ backs. Day in, day out, I tried to move on. However, I was a bit happy being surrounded by the people who care for me a lot. I just want to say a massive thank you to my parents and my friends and people who have come to my life for giving so many lessons in life and big thanks as well for always being there for me when I am down in the dumps, when I was almost hopeless but whatever I love you loads.

In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learnt about life: it goes on. -Robert Frost
